He is also the consummate gentleman and will take as many pictures as possible with you in the greatest situations with the Giraffes. He will get that fabulous picture with the giraffes that everybody covets.
Tony and Gemma and the management team were fabulous at welcoming us and helping us with our every need at the hotel. The food was delicious and all three meals were not only tasty but also very healthy and they gave us great choices to choose from particularly because my wife is a pescatarian.
They have a shuttle service to take you shopping, to local sites, or pick transfer to airport. The Hotel is In a really great location that is close to the Karen Blixen museum where they filmed Out of Africa Thank you Giraffe Manor for providing us a once-in-a-lifetime experience although I do think we will be back with the children Craig and Arden Kagetsu ….

The sympathetic restoration also extends to the grounds, where a natural amphitheatre will offer a seating area for guests to get a little closer and watch the giraffes amble by.
Our expert ranger team will be on hand to chat with guests about our conservation work in Africa and around the world.
A canopied social area will provide the perfect spot to marvel at the abundant wildlife roaming freely on the acres of Kentish wilderness below and watch the sun dip beneath the horizon at the coast.
Originally part of the Port Lympne estate, the house was extended by Philip Sassoon to add two further sections, during a full renovation carried out in by H.
Charlton Bradshaw. Sassoon was Member of Parliament for Hythe and Private Secretary for Field Marshal Haig during WW1.
He famously used the estate as his country weekend retreat, entertaining guests including Winston Churchill, Lawrence of Arabia and Charlie Chaplin.
Due to popular demand, we've created a waiting list for our excited potential guests, eager to be one of the first to experience this incredible destination.
MroseR wrote a review Oct Unremarkable and Disappointing stay at Giraffe Lodge. I would like to start by stating two things; Firstly, this was NOT a BAD experience it was simply just not a good one and secondly, this organization does a great deal of good for the animals in it's protection.
Myself and my partner stayed in a giraffe lodge, courtesy of a generous Birthday present. The website makes it sound like a magical, once in a lifetime experience, and the price point seemingly reflects this.
Unfortunately, it rally does fall flat in so many aspects. To begin with, we arrived an hour before check in, figuring that there would be enough to see around the park to keep us occupied in that amount of time.
However, there is nothing to see and we ended up siting on a wet bench for the duration of the time. The only signs we saw directed people towards the "hotel".
Even as an overnight guest, I got the impression that day visitors were not catered for adequately. Yes, it is a big site, and no, visitors don't expect a sign post every 10 metres, but at the least, an updated and thorough map would go a long way.
After we checked in, we were taken on our "safari" trip up to our lodge. The ranger was very knowledgeable and allowed ample opportunity for photographs.
Whilst all pictures and the website advertise there being giraffes directly outside the tents, that was very far from reality.
We barely saw any giraffes at all. We saw a couple of zebras and deer. I think it is pretty disgusting that they don't clearly state on their website that for half the year, there is NO giraffe aspect in these breaks whatsoever.
In fact, my break was not even booked for October. It was originally booked for April, which obviously had to be postponed due to covid, then rearranged for August before i noticed that front row, en suite accommodation had been downgraded to back row, non-en suite facilities without consent.
Trying to persuade them that i had not agreed to this downgrade of accommodation was not easy and the communication was not always polite.
But nonetheless, they agreed to move my break, insisting that the earliest they could fit me in was October, with no other alternatives offered.
Dinner was adequate, with some bits being quite pleasant. Dessert was delicious. Again, breakfast was quite pleasant.
The tents themselves did not feel luxurious as described. They were fine. But the double bed which was two singles pushed together kept separating and there was quite an uncomfortable dip in the middle as a result.
Mainly though, the issue was how horribly cold they were. You are provided with an ineffective heater which does not do much.
Overall i would describe the experience as FINE. But really, for the prices that they charge, you expect to have a brilliant and unforgettable stay.
I would not return as an overnight guest or as a day visitor, nor would i recommend it. Furthermore, one gets the impression that no customer is appreciated much at Port Lympne.
The day visitors assume that the attention and love is given to overnight guests, but i didn't feel much warmth as an overnight guest either.
